Malamutes vs. "huksies"

When most people use the word "husky" to refer to a dog breed in the modern day, they are usually referring to the Siberian Huskies. A mix-breed named "Alaskan Huskies" also exist, and these dogs were purposely bred to be faster sled dogs, not necessarily for survivability. To avoid confusion, hereinafter I will be referring to Siberian Huskies as "Siberians.".
